Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Ben Aknoun, Algiers. The role offers a fixed‑term contract and provides a supportive environment for early‑career professionals to develop their accounting expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with company policies and regulations.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing by creating journal entries and performing reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, payment follow‑ups and vendor communication.
• Monitor budgets and expenditures to ensure financial efficiency and control.
• Maintain organized accounting files and documentation.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting department.

Required profile

• Master 2 degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and high level of integrity.
• Good communication skills in English and ability to work both independently and in a team.
