Junior KYC Officer – Algiers

About the role

Interpath is seeking a Junior KYC Officer to join its Legal & Compliance team in Algiers. This entry‑level position offers the chance to develop a career in Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) processes while working alongside a highly skilled compliance group.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct KYC and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) reviews, applying Standard or Enhanced Due Diligence based on client risk.
• Analyse screening results, including Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), adverse media, and sanctions lists.
• Set up new business opportunities in internal systems and verify potential conflicts of interest.
• Input project data, confirm compliance with processes, and assign global risk ratings.
• Complete client and engagement risk assessments and, when required, third‑party risk assessments.
• Monitor billing parties and keep engaging party data up to date.
• Contribute to internal KYC and risk‑management procedures and promote best practices.

Required profile

• 6 months to 2 years of experience in KYC, AML, CTF, compliance or risk management.
• Prior experience with screening tools is an advantage.
• Knowledge of international regulations (e.g., EMEA, UK, BVI) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of corporate structures.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organisational abilities.
• Fluent in spoken and written French and English.
