Junior Mechanical Field Specialist

About the role

Join Baker Hughes' Field Engineering team as a Junior Mechanical Field Specialist. After completing an intensive training program, you will support the on‑site installation, maintenance, and commissioning of rotating equipment for global energy customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to internal teams and skilled labor, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality.
• Oversee overhaul, troubleshooting, and commissioning of rotating equipment at customer sites.
• Prepare and update technical documentation, plans, and briefing reports for customers and cross‑functional teams.
• Maintain internal training, compliance, and quality records according to company standards.
• Manage digital tools for retrieving technical documents, packing lists, bills of material, and drawings.

Required profile

• 0‑3 years of experience in a mechanical role within the energy or oil & gas sector.
• Mechanical Technical degree or Engineering degree.
• Basic knowledge of installation and maintenance of rotating equipment.
• Strong customer‑service mindset and ability to guide customers through decisions.
• Excellent verbal and written English, valid passport, and willingness to travel up to 70% (including offshore).
