Junior Translator / Interpreter (Non-Key Expert)

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Junior Translator / Interpreter to join a pool of Non-Key Experts for a 36‑month project focused on communication outreach and engagement on EU policies across North Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf. The role supports DG MENA’s day‑to‑day communication activities, ensuring that multilingual content is accurate, culturally appropriate, and aligned with project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Translate communication materials, reports, publications, presentations and other institutional documents.
• Provide interpretation services during meetings, workshops, conferences, webinars and stakeholder consultations.
• Ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency and cultural appropriateness of all translated content.
• Support the preparation and review of multilingual communication materials.
• Collaborate with communication teams to deliver clear and effective messaging to target audiences.
• Assist with terminology management and maintain consistency across project documentation.
• Facilitate multilingual communication during project events and outreach activities.

Required profile

• Degree in translation/interpretation or an equivalent qualification.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in the target language and fluent English.
• Minimum of 2 years general experience in translation/interpretation.
• At least 1 year of experience translating communication or institutional content.
