Lead Business System Analyst – Hybrid Role

About the role

FunctionAbility is looking for a Lead Business System Analyst to join a small technical team. This hybrid position blends deep hands‑on engineering with a modern mindset around cloud, automation, and AI‑assisted development, working closely with operations and leadership to improve business processes.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full software development lifecycle from analysis to support.
• Partner with Operations to translate workflow needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Design, build, and maintain C#.NET, and SQL Server applications, including legacy WinForms (VB.NET/C#) modernization.
• Architect secure, scalable APIs and services that integrate legacy systems.
• Perform advanced database design, optimization, and complex query development.
• Lead modernization initiatives such as moving desktop apps to web‑based architectures and improving CI/CD pipelines.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and AI‑enabled features.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering end‑to‑end software solutions in a technical leadership role.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
• Excellent communication skills to advise stakeholders on technical options and trade‑offs.
• Self‑starter who balances hands‑on development with strategic solution design.
