Lead Field Project Engineer - Industrial and Energy Technology

About the role

Join a world‑class oilfield services company as a Lead Field Project Engineer within the Industrial and Energy Technology team. You will act as the technical focal point for customers, suppliers, and site teams, ensuring smooth execution of large‑scale projects across rotating equipment and auxiliary systems.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the technical reference for site teams and customers, resolving project‑related issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot and support heavy‑duty gas turbines, aeroderivative turbines, motor‑driven centrifugal compressors, gearboxes and auxiliary systems.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors and multi‑functional teams to deliver customized evaluations and optimisation studies.
• Manage engineering lessons learned, conduct root‑cause analysis and define corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversee field engineering modifications, change orders, document control, non‑conformity management and FMEA execution.
• Lead quality processes, assist in preparing critical site milestones and KPI tracking.
• Travel to site locations as required to collect data and support issue resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of technical experience with rotating machinery.
• At least 1 year of project engineering/management experience on large projects.
• Knowledge of Baker Hughes or equivalent OEM products such as heavy‑duty or aeroderivative gas turbines and centrifugal compressors.
• Fluent English with strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proactive, able to influence others and lead small teams.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel to multiple sites.
