Lead Mechanical Steam Turbine Field Engineer

About the role

As a Lead Mechanical Steam Turbine Field Engineer you will oversee site activities for turbine installations and maintenance at customer power generation facilities. You will apply Level III competencies to plan, organize, and monitor resources, ensuring work is completed to contractual and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate on‑site activities, including labor, tools, and technical assistants.
• Perform installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration of steam turbine systems.
• Respond to emergency repair requests and troubleshoot problematic equipment.
• Provide technical instruction to customer representatives on operation, calibration, and maintenance.
• Prepare technical reports, job status updates, material orders, quotations, timesheets, and expense sheets.
• Sign off on changes and ensure compliance with GE safety standards.

Required profile

• 6 to 10 years of experience in mechanical turbine field engineering.
• Completed Level III competencies.
• Relevant higher education (Bachelor, Master, or Engineering degree).
• Strong decision‑making ability and safety mindset.
