Lead Procurement Engineer - Civil

About the role

The Lead Procurement Engineer – Civil will drive the procurement of all civil construction materials, equipment, subcontractors and services for a large‑scale project in Adrar. The role ensures timely delivery, cost optimisation and quality compliance while coordinating closely with engineering, construction and logistics teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and budgets.
• Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, tender documents and evaluate technical and commercial bids.
• Negotiate contracts, prices, payment terms and delivery schedules; monitor supplier performance.
• Procure civil construction materials such as concrete, reinforcement steel, aggregates, structural and finishing items, as well as construction equipment.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, QA/QC, Construction and Logistics to resolve procurement issues.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, track procurement KPIs and produce regular reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; procurement or supply‑chain certifications are a plus.
• 10‑15 years of procurement experience in large‑scale construction, infrastructure or EPC projects.
• At least 5 years in a senior or lead procurement role.
• Experience with remote project locations and large civil construction projects preferred.
