Market Access Manager

About the role

Abbott is seeking an experienced Market Access Manager to lead national reimbursement initiatives for its Diabetes Care division in Algeria. You will be responsible for establishing and expanding market access for Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre digital health solutions, ensuring patients receive accurate, painless glucose monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve national reimbursement in line with local and global guidelines.
• Prepare and submit reimbursement documentation required by Algerian authorities.
• Develop pricing and reimbursement proposals for current and future products.
• Collaborate with the Market Access Director and senior management to meet strategic objectives.
• Lead lobbying and relationship‑building with authorities, payers, KOLs, physician and patient associations.
• Ensure compliance with Abbott’s Code of Business Conduct and local laws.
• Educate healthcare professionals and patients on FreeStyle Libre digital tools.
• Manage orders through all distribution channels and maintain accurate territory records.
• Attend congresses, meetings and weekend events as needed.
• Meet monthly coverage and frequency targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, medical science or a related field.
• 10‑15 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in market access.
• Proven experience launching and securing full reimbursement for a new product.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Experience in the diabetes market is preferred; medical device background is a plus.
