Medical Physicist (f/m/d) - Proton Therapy

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Physicist to join our Product Management & Validation team and support the development and validation of advanced proton therapy technologies. You will act as a subject‑matter expert, guiding testing, data analysis, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and dosimetric equipment management.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain deep knowledge of clinical software and hardware, including ARIA, Eclipse, proton therapy systems, QA tools, and analysis programs such as MATLAB.
• Perform calibrations on all radiation‑therapy equipment and produce comprehensive calibration reports.
• Conduct radiation dosimetry characterization for new treatment equipment and techniques.
• Manage treatment‑planning computer systems, ensuring database integrity and quality‑assurance programs.
• Develop, implement, and maintain QA programs in line with regulatory and safety standards.
• Support product and engineering initiatives through technical consulting, education, requirements definition, and test‑methodology development.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support, with up to 50 % travel as required.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Physics, Medical Physics, or a closely related field, or an M.S. with board certification.
• Completion of a clinical residency or post‑doctoral training.
• Minimum two years of experience performing radiation‑therapy physics in a clinical setting.
• Mandatory clinical experience with a proton therapy system.
