Medical Science Liaison – North Africa (Algiers)

About the role

Baxter is seeking a highly motivated Medical Science Liaison to serve the North Africa region from Algiers. You will act as a trusted scientific partner, delivering expert medical and product knowledge to internal teams and external healthcare stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of disease states, therapies, treatment guidelines and the competitive landscape.
• Critically evaluate medical literature and translate complex data into clear, balanced insights.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, scientific societies and regulatory bodies.
• Serve as a credible scientific resource, facilitating evidence exchange both internally and externally.
• Gather and analyse insights on scientific, clinical and industry trends through multiple engagement channels.
• Communicate complex scientific information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally across departments, regions and stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
• Support internal teams with scientific and product expertise across a broad range of activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations and patient‑safety standards.
• Travel extensively (up to 70%) to support field engagement and stakeholder interactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in health, medical or life sciences (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a scientific, medical affairs or related role.
• Strong scientific acumen with the ability to interpret and communicate clinical data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, adapt quickly and maintain high ethical standards.
