Operator I - Wipes Manufacturing Line

About the role

Medline Industries, LP is hiring an Operator I for its wipes manufacturing line. The operator runs converting and packaging equipment to produce wipes, and also handles pick-and-place boxing, palletizing and finishing. The role includes supporting manufacturing activities such as cleaning and hand packing.

Key responsibilities

• Operate converting line equipment to load, thread, cut, fold, saturate and stack cloth materials.
• Operate packaging equipment, loading and threading film and labels to make complete packages of wipes.
• Run automated pick-and-place boxing lines, load boxes on skids, shrink wrap and move pallets to finished goods with a pallet jack.
• Clean equipment and production areas, hand pack materials and carry out other support tasks.
• Read and follow equipment procedures, set up and run machines safely, and spot and report machine failures.
• Keep product quality within specifications, document machine attributes and parameters on forms and logs.
• Act as backup to other positions and complete other projects assigned by management.

Required profile

• High school graduate or GED.
• At least 2 years of work experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Able to lift objects up to 50 lbs and comfortable working in warm and cold environments.

Required skills

• Ability to read and understand charts, indicators, control instructions and operator checklists.
• Reading, writing and understanding English.
• Basic math skills including fractional and decimal equations.
