Photovoltaic Engineer – Commercial & Industrial (C&I)

About the role

We are seeking a Photovoltaic Engineer to join the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) division of Shams Djazair. The role involves preparing technical studies and commercial offers for rooftop, ground‑mounted and self‑consumption solar projects, working closely with sales and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary and detailed feasibility studies for C&I PV systems.
• Analyse electricity bills, consumption profiles and tariffs to size appropriate solutions.
• Create quick “solar snapshots” (capacity, production, savings, payback) and 2D/3D concepts using Google Earth, PVGIS, PVsyst, AutoCAD and Excel.
• Estimate production, self‑consumption, ROI and payback periods; compile technical‑commercial offers and bills of quantities.
• Perform site visits and support the sales team during client meetings.
• Coordinate with engineering to ensure compliance with technical standards.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Systems or a related field.
• Rigorous, autonomous and detail‑oriented.
• Fluent in French and Arabic; English is a strong advantage.
• Motivated fresh graduates welcome; 1–3 years of experience in solar PV, electrical design or technical sales is appreciated.

Required skills

• PV sizing and production‑estimation.
• Proficiency with PVsyst, PVGIS, AutoCAD and Excel.
• Experience using Google Earth; knowledge of HelioScope, Aurora or SketchUp is a plus.
• Ability to analyse electricity bills and perform techno‑economic calculations.
