Project Coordinator – Education Portfolio

About the role

The British Council is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the delivery of its Education portfolio in Algeria. You will work on a range of programmes, including student mobility, tertiary partnerships and non‑formal education, ensuring they are implemented in line with organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage own workload and coordinate activities of team members to meet project deadlines.
• Oversee vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of services and payments in accordance with financial guidelines.
• Prepare and monitor project financial plans, budgets and forecasts, maintaining accurate records for audit purposes.
• Handle data entry, quality assurance, basic analysis and reporting to meet funder requirements.
• Support internal compliance, due‑diligence, records management and procurement processes.
• Administer grants, evaluate selections and organise events and trainings within programmes.
• Maintain relationships with clients, partners, stakeholders and vendors at appropriate levels.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree (e.g., Master’s, Licence) or professional certification.
• Up to five years of experience in project coordination, financial administration or education programmes.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
