Project & Engineering Manager

About the role

Henkel is seeking a Project & Engineering Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team and ensure the reliable, efficient operation of plant utilities. You will drive technical excellence, manage projects, and support continuous improvement across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage a diverse engineering team, fostering high performance.
• Plan, execute and deliver engineering projects on scope, schedule and budget.
• Provide technical oversight, ensuring standards, processes and best practices are followed.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, utilities and other departments to support plant operations.
• Manage safe, reliable and efficient operation of steam, boiler, compressed air, electrical distribution, water, wastewater, HVAC and building services.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost equipment reliability, utilities efficiency and energy consumption.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and control operational and capital budgets for engineering and utilities.
• Identify training needs, support career development and ensure knowledge transfer.
• Lead root‑cause analysis for technical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Promote adoption of automation, digitalisation and energy‑efficient technologies.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar engineering management role.
• Problem‑solver with an innovative mindset.
• Background in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanics, Automation or equivalent.
