Restaurant Manager (Level I)

About the role

The Restaurant Manager (Level I) will oversee the daily operations of the hotel’s restaurant, bar/lounge and room‑service areas at Le Méridien Oran. Reporting to senior hotel management, the role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high sanitation standards, and driving financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day restaurant, bar and room‑service operations, ensuring service quality and compliance with sanitation standards.
• Assist with menu planning, inventory control and cost management to meet budgetary targets.
• Lead, coach and schedule the food‑and‑beverage team, covering duties during peak periods and staff absences.
• Monitor and enforce local liquor laws, food‑handling regulations and hotel policies.
• Identify training needs, develop and implement staff development plans.
• Continuously seek improvements in guest satisfaction and employee engagement.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of food‑and‑beverage experience, **or** a 2‑year degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, etc., with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, sanitation standards and financial controls.
• Proven ability to lead a team, manage staffing levels and resolve operational issues.
