Security Manager

About the role

The Security Manager supports the Director of Security in overseeing daily security operations for a hotel complex. The role ensures the safety of guests, employees, and property while maintaining compliance with legal and corporate standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing emergency procedures and response plans.
• Investigate property losses, recommend corrective actions, and coordinate disposition with management.
• Deploy and supervise security staff to monitor and protect assets across the property and parking areas.
• Maintain logs, certifications, and required documentation in line with SOPs and local regulations.
• Conduct regular patrols, inspect security equipment, and ensure all systems are fully functional.
• Handle guest complaints, resolve conflicts, and coordinate with other departments during events.
• Identify hazards, recommend risk‑mitigation actions, and keep abreast of local criminal activity.
• Perform employee performance appraisals, deliver training, and manage disciplinary procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of security/loss‑prevention experience, **or** a 2‑year degree in Criminal Justice (or related field) with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Current first‑aid and CPR certifications required for security personnel.
