Senior IT Communication Engineer – Reggane Project

About the role

We are looking for a Senior IT Communication Engineer to lead the telecom infrastructure for the Reggane Project in Algeria. The role ensures resilient, high‑availability and secure connectivity across all operational sites, leveraging AI tools for automation and predictive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve telecom systems at base camps, processing facilities, rig sites and well locations, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Implement AI‑enabled analytics to anticipate failures, automate monitoring, and support predictive maintenance.
• Define and enforce network security policies, manage firewalls, VPNs, segmentation and secure DMZ architecture.
• Supervise a telecom team, coordinate remote activities, and provide training and feedback.
• Oversee fiber‑optic networks, VSAT links, radio (Tetra/Dimetra), VoIP, CCTV, access‑control and other communication services.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of experience in telecom engineering within critical industrial environments, preferably Oil & Gas.
• Strong background in cybersecurity and AI‑driven automation.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage large‑scale projects.

Required skills

• CCNA certification and extensive experience with Cisco network equipment.
• Firewall/VPN management, LAN/WAN, wireless, VoIP, satellite and radio (Tetra, Dimetra) communications.
• AI and Generative AI tools for monitoring, troubleshooting and predictive maintenance.
• Fiber‑optic network design and maintenance, VSAT, QoS configuration.
• CCTV, access‑control (Onguard), PAGA, Industronics, TOA, and related industrial communication systems.
