Senior National Education Consultant – School Management & Early Warning System Pilot

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Senior National Education Consultant to lead the design, piloting and implementation of an integrated School Management and Early Warning System (EWS) for primary schools in the Sahrawi refugee camps. The consultant will work closely with the Senior International Consultant, translating technical designs into practical, school‑level actions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of a comprehensive School Management and EWS model tailored to the refugee context.
• Coordinate field activities, including data collection, stakeholder meetings and training sessions.
• Facilitate the pilot implementation in selected schools, monitoring progress and adjusting approaches as needed.
• Provide regular reports and recommendations to UNICEF’s Education Section in Tindouf.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Sociology of Education or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in the education sector, preferably at school level.
• Proven experience in training facilitation and field coordination.
• Fluency in Arabic and strong working English; knowledge of Hassaniya, French or Spanish is a plus.
