Senior Network Engineer - Public Safety Networks

About the role

Motorola Solutions is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join its System Engineering team in Algiers. You will lead the end-to-end design, integration, deployment and ongoing optimisation of mission-critical networks supporting public safety technology such as Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems, bridging on-premises environments with high-availability cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead routing, switching and security architecture for LMR, CAD and emergency response platforms across on-premise data centres, remote public safety sites and hybrid/multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Oversee mission-critical traffic engineering, prioritising real-time voice, video and dispatch telemetry with QoS/CoS policies over WAN/LAN backhauls (IP/MPLS, microwave links, dark fiber, LTE).
• Run site surveys, high-level and low-level designs and pre-deployment staging, and lead migrations with zero service downtime.
• Act as technical lead for complex outages, packet drops, routing anomalies and performance bottlenecks in multicast and unicast environments.
• Enforce CJIS, NIST and NIMS security guidelines across firewalls, VPN tunnels, ACLs and zero-trust segmentation.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through design reviews, handovers, documentation and SOPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related engineering field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in network engineering/security.
• Full professional proficiency in Arabic, French and English (all mandatory).
• Desirable: ITIL Foundation v4, Juniper JNCIP, Cisco CCNP, and information security, VMware or Linux certifications.
• Desirable: proven track record designing, implementing and troubleshooting LANs, WANs, VPNs, Cisco Catalyst 9K, Palo Alto and Juniper SRX firewalls, IDS, IPS and SIEM solutions.
