Senior Process Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas sector to lead our Process Engineering team. The successful candidate will act as the technical reference point for process design across FEED, Basic, and Detail Engineering phases, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and effective coordination of internal resources.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise process engineering activities for onshore oil & gas facilities (offshore experience a plus).
• Develop and approve process deliverables such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), heat & material balances, line lists, equipment lists and utility consumption summaries.
• Perform equipment sizing and selection for separators, vessels, heat exchangers, pumps and compressors.
• Prepare, review and approve process datasheets, technical specifications and operating manuals.
• Lead HAZID, HAZOP and SIL studies, conduct process safety evaluations and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with piping, electrical, instrumentation, safety and other disciplines to ensure technical consistency.
• Provide technical support during client, licensor and supplier clarification meetings.
• Support construction, pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities as required.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and quality control.
• Contribute to internal standards, continuous improvement initiatives and workflow optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field.
• 7‑10 years of experience in process design for Oil & Gas or industrial plants.
• Proven experience leading and managing an engineering team in Algeria.
• Strong knowledge of international standards (API, ASME, ISO) and process engineering best practices.
• Excellent command of technical English; Italian is a plus.
