Software Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

DeepMinds Technology is looking for a Software Engineer to work as a Forward Deployed Engineer. You will bridge cutting‑edge AI research with real‑world product deployment, taking ownership of the full engineering lifecycle from user story to production code and live rollout.

Key responsibilities

• Implement user stories end‑to‑end, delivering testable, production‑grade software.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex systems in a fast‑moving environment.
• Manage the complete deployment process, ensuring reliable delivery without hand‑offs.
• Collaborate with senior AI engineers to integrate frontier models into customer solutions.

Required profile

• Solid foundation in software engineering gained through a degree, bootcamp, or self‑directed projects.
• Evidence of shipped code – personal project, open‑source contribution, or internship deliverable.
• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to find solutions when specifications are unclear.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Genuine curiosity about AI and large‑model deployment.
