Software Field Service Engineer

About the role

As a Software Field Service Engineer you will be the primary technical contact for customers in the Nordic and Baltic region, providing remote and on‑site support for Varian oncology solutions. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure reliable operation of our IT systems.

Key responsibilities

• Assist, troubleshoot and provide technical guidance and support to customers.
• Record service activities in company information systems and keep customer data up to date.
• Track support issues, bugs and feature requests, collaborating with escalation teams and developers.
• Work with global colleagues on troubleshooting, upgrades and project tasks.
• Visit customer sites for installations, preventive maintenance and on‑site troubleshooting.
• Update the Knowledge Base with technical guides and tips.
• Maintain professional knowledge and safety standards according to Siemens Healthineers guidelines.

Required profile

• Proactive, customer‑oriented attitude with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Systematic and structured mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with proven experience in a similar role, preferably in medical‑device or technology environments.
• Frequent use of technical documentation, standards and concepts.
• Practical and advanced knowledge of Microsoft technologies.
• Understanding of PowerShell scripting; certifications are a plus.
