Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

BAT is looking for a warehouse supervisor to plan, coordinate, supervise and report on the business activities of a team. The post reports to the Cell Manager and covers stores containing finished products, packaging materials and tobacco SKUs, managing the material flow between them. The role also carries responsibility for team management, staff scheduling, training, safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the team, adjust staffing levels and shifts, and prepare work schedules and work orders based on the weekly factory production plan
• Plan, run and review performance, and handle disciplinary and dispute issues in line with HR policy
• Prepare and implement Standard Operating Procedures and explain company policies
• Manage recruitment, training needs and training, and keep processes and reports up to date
• Guide the team on loading and unloading, keep the workplace safe and clean, and ensure compliance with quality systems
• Report on operations, escalate issues and give feedback on performance indicators
• Work closely with the Planning Department on stock management and with logistics companies and suppliers
• Follow sustainability standards, report near misses and risks, and manage pre-use inspection of forklifts and trucks, fuel and battery storage, and maintenance

Required profile

• Vocational school graduate, preferably university graduate
• At least 2-4 years of experience in warehouse, logistics and transportation management
• Team management experience and ability to work in shifts
• Knowledge of SAP and office software preferred
