Accountant – Construction & Architecture

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Accountant to support our construction, civil engineering and architecture projects in Bethioua, Oran. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting activities, preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with Algerian regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations for construction and architectural projects.
• Prepare financial statements, budgets and periodic reports.
• Coordinate with project managers to track costs and forecast financial needs.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely reconciliation.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Implement accounting controls to protect company assets.
• Assist with payroll processing and sector‑specific tax filings.
• Train and supervise junior accounting staff when required.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering or a related field (Bachelor’s to Master’s level).
• 1 to 10+ years of accounting experience in construction, civil engineering or architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Algerian accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; leadership skills for senior roles.
• Good command of English; French or Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
