About the role

The Buyer – Supplier Prospecting and Local Development will build a robust portfolio of competitive local suppliers that meet Stellantis standards and support the long‑term industrial localisation strategy in Algeria.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and map potential suppliers by purchase family and maintain an up‑to‑date supplier database.
• Initiate first contacts, manage information requests and collect technical, financial and commercial data.
• Assess production capacity, industrial organisation, certifications and compliance with automotive standards.
• Perform cost analyses, benchmark competitiveness and pinpoint performance‑improvement levers.
• Create short‑lists, prepare future consultations and drive associated development plans.
• Participate in site visits, audits, trade fairs and economic events related to local industrial development.
• Prepare synthesis reports, recommendations and management reporting.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Engineering, Production, Logistics, Finance and Legal teams.

Required profile

• Higher education in purchasing, commerce, industrial engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in industrial purchasing, supplier research or supplier development.
• Experience in the automotive industry is a strong plus.
• Good knowledge of the Algerian industrial landscape and production processes.
• Fluent French and professional English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
