AI-First Product Designer (Remote, Algeria)

About the role

Storm Ideas, an international agency founded in 2008 working mainly with US TV and entertainment clients, is hiring a full-time, fully remote AI-First Product Designer based in Algeria. The role sits in the design team and starts close to Product on a major entertainment product, turning an uncertain brief into an accepted, usable design. It is a hands-on UI/UX product design role, not a pure visual, research, strategy or AI-tool role.

Key responsibilities

• Own well-scoped product improvements from problem framing to implementation-ready handoff and design QA, using AI tools and agentic workflows as the default.
• Turn ambiguous client and internal requests into a clear user, problem, outcome, constraints and acceptance criteria.
• Produce flows, information architecture, wireframes, working prototypes, interaction design, high-fidelity UI, design-system components and handoff.
• Lead the product/design part of client conversations, ask sharp questions and present trade-offs clearly.
• Turn feedback into better design and anticipate client needs before review.
• Prototype real interactions quickly with AI coding assistants so the team can test behaviour.
• Work with Account Management, Product, Engineering and Solutions, and protect design intent through build review and QA.
• Learn existing product systems, follow established workflows and escalate out-of-scope work to Engineering.
• Write prompts, system messages, empty states, error states and microcopy; define measurable success and contribute reusable components and patterns.
• Review AI output critically, surface accessibility, brand, rights, data, security and delivery risks early, and diagnose blockers with options and recommendations.

Required profile

• Strong UI/UX product design craft, with a portfolio showing thinking and outcomes, not just screens.
• Evidence of moving an ambiguous problem through flows, prototypes and feedback to an accepted or shipped result.
• Demonstrable use of AI tools and agents in real work, studies or personal projects.
• Comfortable using AI coding tools to turn designs into working browser prototypes; previous frontend or backend experience is useful but not required.
• Clear written and verbal English, strong remote collaboration habits and reliable internet access.
• A design degree is not required.

Required skills

• Interaction design, information architecture, visual hierarchy, typography and accessibility.
• Use of AI tools and agents such as Figma MCP, v0, Cursor, Claude Code or similar.
