Algeria Tooling Center Manager

About the role

The Tooling Center Manager is part of the Field Service & Tooling organization in Europe and Africa, which provides tooling and personnel for Field Service projects on GS D and GS C products. The role reports directly to the Head of Tooling Center Regional Hub Manager for the Region Europe & Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, check and assess tooling and equipment, identify defects and nonconformities, and initiate repairs or replacements
• Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures (LOTO, PPE, equipment safety checks)
• Maintain the Tool Center to 5S and organizational standards
• Manage assigned staff, including task allocation, daily coordination, workload balancing and performance follow-up
• Manage tool inventory, calibration status, life-cycle records and usage tracking in the digital warehouse system
• Receive, inspect, document and store incoming and outgoing tools, equipment and spare parts, including delivery and dispatch notes
• Work with technical and field teams to meet their tooling needs and coordinate with procurement to keep stock levels adequate
• Drive budgeting, CAPEX planning and continuous improvement for tooling investments
• Monitor ordered tools, perform regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies, and improve inventory control processes
• Coordinate tool preparation, dispatch and return, prepare operational reports and track equipment performance trends

Required profile

• Strong team player with leadership capabilities and communication skills
• 5+ years of personal (preferably hands-on) experience in Field Service or workshops
• 5+ years of experience handling logistics, preferably temporary imports and exports
• Technical or mechanical education (an advantage)
• Fluent English
