Autopsy Assistant (Trainee) – Temporary

About the role

This temporary trainee position provides a one‑year structured program to assist a Pathologist in performing autopsies. Under supervision, you will learn the full range of duties performed by a morgue attendant and gain hands‑on experience with body dissections on legally approved decedents.

Key responsibilities

• Assist a Pathologist in conducting autopsies on legally approved decedents.
• Perform body dissections and other morgue duties under supervision.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training covering all functions of a diener or morgue attendant.
• Work according to shift schedules, including call‑back, weekend and holiday rotations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; interest in pathology or forensic medicine.
• Willingness to undergo a one‑year training program leading to promotion.
• Ability to follow detailed procedural instructions and maintain confidentiality.
• Physical stamina for standing and lifting in a morgue environment.

Required skills

• Body dissection techniques.
