Business Development Manager – Steel Trading (Algeria)

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive our steel trading activities across Algeria. You will identify high‑value opportunities in hot‑rolled coil (HRC), cold‑rolled coil (CRC), galvanized (GI) and pre‑painted galvanized (PPGI) products, and build a strong pipeline of new customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and technical consultation to contract negotiation, closing and long‑term account management.
• Analyse Algerian market dynamics, import regulations, competitor positioning and regional demand to shape localized sales strategies.
• Work closely with Supply Chain, Logistics and Finance teams to navigate customs procedures and ensure seamless order fulfilment.
• Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with existing clients while expanding market share to meet aggressive sales targets.
• Represent the company at major Algerian trade events and industry associations to raise brand visibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in international steel trading, with a proven track record in import/export operations.
• Excellent negotiation abilities, strong commercial acumen and an established network within the Algerian steel industry.
• Self‑starter with the resilience to work independently and willingness to travel frequently across the region.
• Fluent English for business communication.
