Cementing Technician (Tech Prof-Cementing)

About the role

Halliburton is hiring a cementing technician (Tech Prof-Cementing) in Hassi Messaoud, Algeria, within its Product Service Line for Cementing. The role combines technical cementing work with sales of tailored cement solutions to customers in the designated area, and is listed as an experienced hire.

Key responsibilities

• Develop cementing job designs under general supervision, including preliminary calculations, computer simulations, fluid system design, lab test requests and approvals, risk assessments, regulatory checks and cost estimates.
• Provide operational expertise, instructions and resource identification, and verify designs against final job inputs and engineering tools at the well site.
• Sell tailored cement solutions to the technical customer base, collaborating with drilling and production engineers on price and total cost, and promote new technologies through customer performance optimization plans.
• Perform post-job analysis, recommend and implement improvements, share learning with the team and publish case histories and industry papers.
• Maintain relationships with customers, consult the PSL team on equipment needs and verify that resources meet local regulations.
• Provide chemical and casing equipment forecasts in time for delivery while helping maintain inventory targets.
• Perform assignments applying basic engineering and commercial principles, mentor junior team members and work independently, giving direction to others at site.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math discipline.
• At least 12 months of experience learning cementing operations, job design and technical solutions.
• Ability to work independently and mentor junior colleagues.
