Chargé de conformité senior

About the role

The Senior Compliance Officer will ensure that Arab Leasing Corporation complies with all applicable banking and financial regulations in Algeria. You will monitor regulatory changes, assess their impact on leasing activities, and lead the implementation of robust compliance controls.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory updates (laws, regulations) affecting banks and financial institutions and evaluate their impact on leasing operations.
• Conduct due‑diligence reviews and manage investigations of unusual or suspicious transactions that may require suspicion declarations.
• Perform second‑level customer‑knowledge controls in line with AML (LAB‑FT) and FATCA requirements.
• Operate the Black‑List screening tool to detect and prevent money‑laundering activities.
• Respond to information requests and instructions from authorities such as the Bank of Algeria and the CTRF.
• Carry out the annual assessment of the LAB‑FT compliance framework.
• Maintain an effective audit trail for all controls, including document retention and classification.
• Contribute to process improvements that reduce non‑compliance risk.

Required profile

• Licence or Master 2 (Bac+5) in economics, finance, management control or audit.
• 5+ years of experience in compliance control and second‑level monitoring within the financial sector.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations and legal provisions related to AML (LAB‑FT) and FATCA.
• Proven ability to verify compliance of financial, legal and contractual documents.
