About the role
The Commercial Manager based in Algeria will drive ex‑factory and in‑market sales performance, strengthen relationships with wholesalers, distributors and sub‑distributors, and ensure product availability across the market.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the full supply‑chain cycle, including budget planning, purchase orders, letters of credit, shipment and delivery aligned with market potential.
- Develop and execute a five‑year sales plan covering commissions, sampling, free‑of‑charge goods and expiries, in coordination with marketing and sales teams.
- Review local sales data, set annual in‑market targets and provide guidance to support forecasts and drive performance.
- Manage tender processes: revise tender booklets, prepare bids, meet tender requirements and coordinate price offers and order execution with distributors.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal BI teams and external stakeholders such as wholesalers, distributors, sub‑distributors and health authorities.
- Track monthly sales, stock levels and receipts, achieve Air‑to‑Sea ratio targets and consolidate free‑of‑charge transactions for documentation.
- Collaborate closely with internal functions (Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain) to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a medical or management discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Commercial Manager; experience in wholesaler management is preferred.
- Proven customer management and project management experience.
- Strong understanding of Algeria’s regulatory environment and market landscape.
