About the role
The Consortium Project Director leads a multi-party consortium delivering a major EPC, infrastructure or energy project in Algeria. - Monitor both Parties' performance on schedule, cost, quality, HSE and contractual milestones, driving corrective and recovery actions.
- Own the Integrated Master Schedule and coordinate interfaces, risks, changes and reporting across both Parties.
- Act as the main communication channel with the Customer and lead negotiations and claims discussions.
- Manage relationships with regulators, customs and permitting authorities while complying with integrity and anti-corruption requirements.
- Partner with Commercial and Contracts teams on claims, guarantees, payments, contractual matters and change management.
- Coordinate consortium-level risks, technical and system interfaces, HSE, quality and multidisciplinary activities, support dispute resolution and approve project changes.
- Provide regular consolidated reporting, KPI dashboards and action tracking.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management or a Business/Commercial discipline.
- At least 20 years in major EPC, infrastructure or energy/utility projects.
- Demonstrated experience in multi-company consortiums or JVs, and managing electrical/civil and technical interfaces.
- Customer relationship management experience, preferably with state-owned or major institutional clients.
- Practical experience in Algeria or a closely comparable North African/francophone market.
- Fluency in English; French and/or Arabic and fluency in local languages are desirable.
Required skills
- PMP or equivalent certification desirable.
- Contract/commercial management qualification desirable.
- Strong negotiation, influencing and commercial judgment, with resilience under pressure.
- Understanding of local regulatory, customs, import, permitting and construction processes.
