Director of Finance and Accounting

About the role

The Holiday Inn Algiers – Cheraga Towers is seeking a dynamic Director of Finance & Accounting to lead all financial operations and support the hotel’s strategic objectives. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will guide the finance team, ensure compliance with IHG standards and local regulations, and provide commercial and financial insight to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, coach and allocate tasks for the finance team to ensure optimal performance.
• Set and maintain high‑standard accounting practices and ethical financial controls.
• Drive financial performance through analysis, data trends, market information and budgeting.
• Improve guest experience by enhancing payment options, inventory controls and resolving financial disputes.
• Supervise clerical accounting staff across accounts payable, purchasing, payroll and related functions.
• Ensure compliance with IHG policies, local regulations, tax filing and government reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 4‑8 years of hotel accounting or auditing experience, including at least one year in an Assistant Controller or supervisory role.
• Knowledge of lease negotiations, payroll processing, asset management, business projections, displacement analysis, and tax preparation.
• Professional accounting or finance designation preferred.
• Fluent in both French and English (spoken and written).
