About the role
The United Nations Office at Nairobi is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a 364‑day fixed‑term assignment. The Engineer will report to the Chief of the Design and Construction Section and will support the UNON Conference Facilities Project, providing expertise in planning, design, construction and maintenance of major electrical systems.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and advise on the planning, design, construction and maintenance of major electrical engineering systems and facilities for the UNON Conference Facilities Project.
- Oversee systems such as main power substations, low/high voltage distribution networks, lighting, low‑current systems and building management systems.
- Provide technical guidance on low‑current systems and building management systems to support the project’s operational requirements.
