EPC Local Account Manager

About the role

ABB is seeking an EPC Local Account Manager to lead the development and execution of account strategies for local Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) customers in Hydra, Algeria. The role focuses on sustainable order growth, profitability and long‑term customer satisfaction while supporting the full sales cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement local EPC account strategies to increase market share and profitability.
• Manage and grow relationships with local and international EPC customers, aligning their needs with ABB solutions.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the project pipeline within the assigned market.
• Prepare and execute sales plans using ABB tools, tracking performance against volume, mix and profitability targets.
• Collaborate with bid, proposal and marketing teams to produce competitive technical and commercial offers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor actions and pricing information to support effective response strategies.
• Ensure a strong customer experience throughout the sales cycle, including delivery, payment and contract execution.
• Support contract, risk and compliance management in line with ABB policies and legal standards.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration with project execution, finance, supply chain and service teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in solution selling or account management within the EPC or industrial sector.
• Strong understanding of engineering, procurement and construction processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with both local and international customers.
• Ability to analyse market data and translate insights into actionable sales strategies.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French or Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience using sales and bid management tools.
• Knowledge of contract negotiation and risk management principles.
