Estimator II – ELV/ICT Systems

About the role

Honeywell Technologies is looking for an Estimator II responsible for robust estimation processes that deliver high-quality, cost-competitive bids to achieve regional sales targets. The role covers ELV and ICT proposals, from input studies and BOQ costing to technical and commercial aspects, and works closely with the P&E Leader, sales and business development teams, and the regional bid manager.

Key responsibilities

• Estimate ELV packages: input study, RFI generation, equipment take-off, device selection, solution design, controller and server sizing, BOQ costing and cable schedules.
• Prepare technical proposals: specifications, inclusion/exclusion lists, qualifications, assumptions, deviations and technical proposals.
• Prepare technical submittals such as system architecture, floor risers and specification compliance, and capture the bid/no-bid process to obtain approvals in time.
• Lead design and estimation of approved BNB and emergency bids, including sizing servers and storage and proposing secure LAN, WAN and VPN designs.
• Work with the P&E Leader to produce the best technical solution, prepare P&E slides for leadership review decks and chair L-review calls.
• Manage vendor relationships, track regional technical preferences and apply lessons learned from past opportunities.
• Collaborate with the COE estimation team in Pune and the TAC team in Bangalore, and with the Project Operations team, to obtain TRR approvals and improve solutions.
• Guide team members on prioritization, work under pressure with minimal supervision and present professionally to internal and external clients.

Required profile

• 3 to 7 years of experience in estimating, especially for ELV/ICT systems.
• Good verbal and written communication in English and French, and ability to coordinate with stakeholders across regions and time zones.
• Exposure to design and estimation for complete ELV/ICT solutions.
• Ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment and to balance speed and accuracy.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the estimation and pre-sales process, materials and costs, with a value-engineered approach.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
• Ability to interpret project plans, specifications and drawings.
• Ability to manage jobs and projects to standards and budgets.
