Female Health Physiotherapist (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Female Health Physiotherapist on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to support the Women’s First Team and Academy at our football training centre. Working closely with the Medical Performance Lead and the wider medical team, you will help deliver our Female Health Strategy across seven pillars, from menstrual and pelvic health to musculoskeletal and nutrition.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of the club’s Female Athlete Health Strategy in partnership with club doctors.
• Provide assistant physiotherapy support on matchdays and lead physiotherapy provision when required.
• Coordinate player care pathways, liaising with Academy medical staff and managing loan player medical care.
• Deliver world‑class medical and performance support, focusing on recovery, injury reduction and overall wellbeing.
• Collect, analyse and report medical and performance data to inform evidence‑based decisions and identify injury trends.

Required profile

• Qualified physiotherapist with experience in sports medicine and female health domains.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary medical and performance team.
• Strong communication skills for building relationships with players, coaches and medical staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to undergo DBS checks.

Required skills

• Knowledge of female health areas: menstrual, breast, perinatal, pelvic health, musculoskeletal, nutrition and kit resources.
• Ability to collect, analyse and interpret medical and performance data.
