Finance Associate

About the role

The Finance Associate will support the Financial Controller Manager for Northern & Western Africa, focusing on the Algerian market and the North‑West Africa cluster headquartered in Casablanca. The role combines financial planning, analysis, accounting, tax, and operational support to drive business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver financial planning and forecasting across a rolling three‑year horizon, covering sales, pricing, gross‑to‑net, and P&L.
• Provide accurate, timely financial analysis to cross‑functional stakeholders for commercial and operational decisions.
• Analyze variances versus plan, latest estimate, and prior year, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights.
• Support the annual operating plan and rolling forecasts, and contribute to cross‑functional projects.
• Assist with accounting transactions in line with IFRS and local regulations, review postings, and ensure completeness of monthly closing tasks.
• Handle local tax queries, submissions, and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of tax regulations.
• Coordinate with local banks and treasury, and ensure compliance with JTI policies and local statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Knowledge of IFRS and local Algerian tax regulations.
• Ability to act as a trusted business partner and provide value‑added analysis.
• Professional, proactive attitude with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
