French/Arabic Translator (FR/AR)

About the role

We are looking for a French‑Arabic Translator to join the expert team of an EU‑funded visibility and strategic communication project in Morocco. The successful candidate will support the production of high‑quality bilingual communication materials for the European Union.

Key responsibilities

• Translate and adapt institutional communication documents, press releases, reports and digital content from French to Arabic and vice‑versa.
• Perform linguistic revision and ensure consistency with EU terminology and style guides.
• Localise content for Moroccan audiences, including the use of Darija where appropriate.
• Maintain and update terminology databases and glossaries.
• Collaborate with project managers, communication specialists and other translators to meet tight deadlines.

Required profile

• University degree (minimum BAC+3) in translation, applied languages, linguistics, French or Arabic studies, or equivalent professional experience.
• Fluent in French and Arabic; knowledge of Moroccan Arabic (Darija) and English is an advantage.
• At least 3 years of general translation or linguistic revision experience (or 6 years without a degree).
• Minimum 1 year of specific experience translating institutional communication material.
