Geophysicist – Exploration & Subsurface (Algiers)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Geophysicist to join our exploration and subsurface team in Algiers. You will work on seismic data acquisition, processing, interpretation and analysis to support our exploration, development and production projects.

Key responsibilities

• Interface with customers, advising on processing parameters and best practices.
• Process seismic and geophysical data using appropriate technologies and software tools.
• Deliver processed data on schedule and ensure quality control.
• Define, build and submit test jobs, interpret results and recommend parameters.
• Validate testing and production job sequences for accuracy and efficiency.
• Stay current with advances in seismic data processing and data transfer techniques.
• Investigate and report processing problems.
• Mentor junior staff and support team capability growth.
• Assist the Project Leader with daily project and personnel management, including velocity picking.
• Forecast resource needs, track project status and archive documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences or a related field.
• Experience in geophysical data acquisition, processing and interpretation.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel to field locations within Algeria as required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with geophysical software such as Petrel, Kingdom or OpendTect.
