Graphic Design & Photography Intern (UNIC Algiers)

About the role

This unpaid internship with the United Nations Information Centre in Algiers supports the Department of Global Communications by creating visual content that promotes UN messages and campaigns. The role is full‑time, onsite, and lasts between three and six months.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in covering UN events, campaigns and activities through photography and basic video recording.
• Select, edit and organize visual material in line with UN communication standards.
• Create infographics, social‑media visuals and other graphic assets.
• Design layouts for presentations, flyers, briefs and simple reports.
• Maintain and update photo and visual archives.
• Adapt visual content for digital platforms and social media.
• Perform additional communication‑related tasks as required.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or having completed the final academic year of a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Political Science, Public Affairs or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in visual communication and digital media.
• Meets UN Internship Programme eligibility (final year of bachelor’s or graduate level).
