Head of Finance / CFO

About the role

We are seeking a strategic finance leader to head our finance function and act as CFO. The role will drive financial governance, reporting, and cash management across a regulated, multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire finance function, ensuring robust financial governance, controls and compliance.
• Prepare and oversee accurate monthly management accounts, financial reporting and variance analysis.
• Manage cash flow, treasury, banking relationships and working capital, including rolling cash‑flow forecasts and payment approvals.
• Ensure accurate accounting records, month‑end close, reconciliations and statutory reporting.
• Oversee tax compliance, audits and regulatory submissions, managing external auditors, banks and tax authorities.
• Monitor financial performance, gross margins, stock valuation and cost‑control initiatives.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to support operational and commercial decisions.
• Develop, mentor and lead the finance team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Identify financial risks and implement effective internal controls and governance processes.
• Drive continuous improvement of finance systems, reporting processes and operational efficiencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) highly advantageous.
• Extensive senior finance leadership experience in a regulated or multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, treasury and working‑capital management.
• Proven experience with tax compliance, statutory reporting, audit and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing external auditors, banks, tax authorities and key financial stakeholders.
• Strong experience with financial systems and ERP software (Business Central advantageous).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Excellent leadership, decision‑making and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high accuracy and governance.
• Fluent English; additional French or Arabic language skills are a plus.
