Health, Safety and Environment Professional - Algeria

About the role

CEVA Logistics is looking for a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) professional to join its operations in Algeria, with a primary focus on the CEVA Logistics site. The role ensures the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of HSE standards, supports operational teams in building a strong safety culture, and keeps the site aligned with client and CEVA Group HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor CEVA's Health & Safety strategy across the assigned site and operational activities.
• Ensure compliance with Algerian HSE legislation, CEVA Group standards, customer requirements and ISO 45001.
• Conduct risk assessments and define preventive and corrective actions to reduce workplace accidents and hazards.
• Define, monitor and report HSE KPIs, and organize awareness sessions, toolbox talks and mandatory safety training.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans, contingency plans and drill programs.
• Take part in internal and external HSE audits and manage PPE programs, safety procedures and contractor safety compliance.
• Coordinate with occupational health services, civil protection authorities and other stakeholders, support dangerous goods compliance and prepare HSE reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of HSE management experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Experience implementing HSE programs, risk assessments, incident investigations and safety audits.
• Knowledge of Algerian HSE regulations and occupational safety requirements.
• French and Arabic mandatory; professional English required for reporting, audits and communication with regional and global teams.
• Willingness to travel within Algeria when required.
