Healthcare Nutrition Specialist (Medical Delegate) - Tizi Ouzou

About the role

Danone MENA is looking for a Healthcare Nutrition Specialist (HN Solution Representative, also called Medical Delegate) based in Tizi Ouzou, Algeria. The medical delegate represents the brands in their assigned area and promotes them to healthcare professionals such as paediatricians, general practitioners, health centres, hospitals and clinics.

Key responsibilities

• Promote product ranges to healthcare professionals and organise and negotiate brand presence in maternity wards in line with the medical strategy of the Medical Supervisor and Medical Director.
• Provide scientific and product training to pharmacies in the sector.
• Work with colleagues in the same country, share information and encourage collaboration.
• Implement internal sales techniques and execute the action plan defined by the Medical Supervisor (targeting, conferences, continuing professional development, congresses), measured against key performance indicators.
• Advise the Medical Supervisor on actions to develop the country's medical action plan.
• Prepare a weekly schedule for healthcare professional visits and meet visit targets.
• Keep the activity reporting tool up to date, analyse activities and suggest corrective action plans.
• Monitor competitors and the sector, manage the medical budget for the sector and report findings to the Medical Supervisor.

Required profile

• Ideal qualification: scientific background in Medicine, Biology, Pharmacy or Veterinary.
• Experience in medical visits.
• Fluency in French.
• Willingness to travel.
• Readiness to relocate within or outside the region over the next 3 to 4 years if an opportunity arises.
