Hostess – Guest Services

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and attentive Hostess to join our Food & Beverage team at Le Méridien in Oran. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating experience throughout their visit.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size, and escort them to clean, prepared tables.
• Arrange chairs, place menus, and ensure each setting includes a napkin, clean silverware, and any required items.
• Monitor dining room flow, adjust seating for groups with special needs, and maintain a tidy environment using clean‑as‑you‑go practices.
• Check menus for cleanliness and current information, and keep work areas orderly.
• Follow all company safety, security, and uniform policies, reporting any incidents promptly.
• Answer telephone calls with professional etiquette and support team members to achieve shared goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Strong communication skills and a professional appearance.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of food‑service hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to follow written procedures and maintain clean workspaces.
