Job description
About the role
The IFS Finance Systems & Reporting Specialist provides offshore functional support to the Finance team in the implementation, enhancement and ongoing operation of IFS Cloud Finance. The role works closely with Group Finance, local finance teams and IT to turn agreed finance requirements into system configuration, reporting solutions, testing and process documentation. It is a hands-on delivery and support role, hybrid between home and the designated offshore office, following local hours with occasional flexibility for UK business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Support configuration and maintenance of IFS Cloud Finance modules, including chart of accounts, financial dimensions, posting controls, tax codes, approval workflows and reporting hierarchies
- Investigate finance system issues and resolve them with Finance, IT and external IFS specialists, keeping configuration records and supporting governance and change-control processes
- Develop and maintain financial and management reports, support month-end reporting, balance-sheet reconciliations and Group reporting, and validate outputs against IFS source data
- Reduce manual spreadsheet reporting through improved system reporting and automation, using tools such as Power BI, Excel and IFS reporting tools
- Support IFS Finance implementation and entity onboarding, including master-data preparation, migration, opening-balance uploads, testing, cutover and go-live support
- Maintain finance master data, perform data-quality checks and provide evidence for audit and compliance
- Prepare and run UAT scripts, record and fix defects, write process documentation and user guides, and deliver training and knowledge transfer
- Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and standardise finance processes and support continuous improvement
Required profile
- Practical experience supporting or implementing an ERP finance system; hands-on IFS Cloud Finance experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of core finance processes (GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, cash management, financial reporting)
- Ability to translate finance requirements into system configurations and reports, with strong analytical skills and attention to data accuracy
- Clear written and verbal communication, able to support stakeholders remotely
- Preferred: degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Information Systems; part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA); experience supporting a UK-headquartered or multinational finance function from an offshore centre; multi-entity, multi-currency and month-end close experience; SQL or data-query tools
Required skills
- IFS Cloud Finance configuration and reporting
- Data migration, reconciliations, UAT and defect resolution
- Power BI, Excel and IFS reporting tools
What we offer
- A competitive salary and a range of core and optional benefits
