Logistics Executive

About the role

The Logistics Executive will oversee all import and distribution activities for British American Tobacco in Algeria, ensuring seamless customs clearance, accurate financial coordination and efficient warehouse management. This role combines regulatory compliance, financial oversight and team leadership to support the company’s supply chain objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and verify import documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, banking requirements and internal procedures.
• Coordinate international payment processes (LC, documentary remittance, TT) with suppliers and financial institutions, and support finance planning.
• Plan, control and monitor the storage and distribution of finished goods across factory, raw‑material and customer warehouses, maintaining product integrity and traceability.
• Oversee returns logistics, ensuring proper disposal and maximizing value recovery.
• Implement BAT EH&S standards and drive KPI, service‑level and stock‑holding targets in line with the CMA agreement.
• Provide direction to the Logistics department, align activities with BAT strategy and develop the logistics team through coaching and performance management.

Required profile

• 6‑10 years of experience in logistics, import compliance or supply‑chain management.
• Master’s level education (Master 2, Ingéniorat, Bac + 5) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, import documentation and international payment instruments.
• Proven ability to lead and develop logistics teams and to work cross‑functionally with finance and operations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
