Logistics Manager

About the role

BAT is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee import compliance, payment coordination and distribution of finished goods across its global operations. The role ensures timely customs clearance, efficient warehouse management and seamless returns logistics while supporting the company’s ambition for a smokeless world.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and verify all import documentation to ensure compliance with customs regulations, banking requirements and internal procedures.
• Coordinate preparation of import documents ahead of shipment arrival to avoid demurrage, detention and penalties.
• Oversee international payment processes, including letters of credit, documentary remittance and bank transfers, and liaise with finance for timely settlements.
• Plan and control the storage, distribution and delivery of finished goods, balancing transportation options and stock levels to meet sales demand.
• Handle returns logistics and final disposal of finished goods, supporting initiatives to improve returns performance.
• Ensure product integrity and traceability throughout warehouse operations and implement EH&S standards.
• Drive KPI, service level and stock holding targets in line with BAT’s CMA agreements.
• Lead, motivate and develop the logistics team, aligning activities with BAT’s strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics, import compliance and warehouse management.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and international payment instruments such as letters of credit.
• Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage relationships with suppliers, forwarders and finance.
• Leadership skills to guide and develop a logistics team.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
